Our Mission

The Armenia Center for Dispute Resolution (ACDR) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is to promote the development of alternative dispute resolution in Armenia. Our vision is to have affordable and reliable dispute resolution for Armenian citizens and businesses and serve as a regional hub for arbitration for international investors.

A Regional Hub

The ACDR provides an opportunity for Armenia to serve as a regional hub for alternative dispute resolution. As Armenia is an investment destination for Russia, Iran, and the UAE, among many others, the hearing center will have the capacity to administer proceedings in a number of languages: Arabic, Armenian, English, French, Farsi, and Russian. In addition, focusing on sector expertise, such as energy disputes, construction disputes, etc. will give the hearing center a competitive edge and draw those types of clients to the center. Importantly, discussions are already under way to make Armenia the headquarters for all investment treaty disputes arising from the Eurasian Economic Union, a multilateral investment treaty.

Leading Innovation

The ACDR project will be a global leader in legal tech, taking advantage of the brilliant technological minds and tech-focused environment in Armenia. The global legal community is currently starving for solutions to unique and novel problems, such as how to adjudicate smart contracts and how to intelligently integrate blockchain solutions into the administration of legal proceedings. Armenia and the ACDR could take the mantle on these critical issues within the international arbitration community.
